I saw the Sand Dune CVO RG in person yesterday thinking I'd like it after viewing Matt Laidlaw's YouTube video.

Nope, hard pass. The paint scheme was too bland and didn't pop like a CVO should.

The Specials are offering a much better looking choice of colors and graphics this year.

 

The eagle eye special edition is not a cvo.

 

The CVO line this year is underwhelming to say the least. This new CVO RG continues the sentiment.

Usually when I see a CVO I admire the paint. Even if it’s a scheme I couldn’t see myself buying. Not this year. Totally uninspiring.

 

Lets hope they get it right in 2021 model year with eye catching paint & graphic schemes and build the CVO bikes with the 131 on board.

Only then will I step up for a new bike at a premium price. Until then I'm content tweaking and freshening up the 2013 CVO I have with top shelf aftermarket parts.

 

Yep, put a paint job on an old Pinto and call it a mid year new release. For crap sake give us a new platform. Start a survey on why riders are keeping their rides instead of moving into a newer model. I for one have an 09 Ultra but refuse to buy a outdated and cramped design with a new infotainment center and motor. I like the HD bikes but I really have to start considering other manufacturers at this point.

 

A new paint job easy; Earl Scheib painted any car any color for $29.95. A new well suspended touring bike will take some money and some thinking.
