Default Plug by battery 03-RKC

There is a pug by the battery under the seat of my 2003 Road King Classic. Is it for lighting on a tour pack?

Maybe do you have a tour pack if you do maybe it was added. Or its for charging the battery.

Im looking to buy a chrome license plate kit with lights on it 68230-97A. The dealer says it plugs into the plug by the battery. Im wondering if this plug is just hot or for tour pack lighting cuz the kit has double contact bulbs and that suggests running and brake lights. The dealer is closing his doors and was wondering if I would be interested in this part. I don't want to be spliceing wires.

It should plug in to the accessory plug and yes it should be under the seat. It's a gray four prong plug and will control the brake function of the kit you are talking about. See the picture attached. You will be looking for the male side of the plug.
