Default Soft Luggage Options

Don't have a Tour-Pak and don't want a Tour-Pak but do need something for traveling. Who are some good supplier options to H-D for soft luggage for 2-up travel on an Electra glide standard / Street glide bike?

Just bought a Kuryakyn 5284 Momentum Road Warrior bag (60 Liter) on
Amazon for $184 Amazon for $184
. It's pretty big and I'm very happy with the build.

Do you have a rack on back at least? If not, it’s pretty difficult to lash gear on with a passenger in the seat.

As I value waterproofnes, I tend to use a kayak stuff sack. Friend has a nice waterproof duffle, with a large waterproof zipper.

Yes, have a luggage rack behind the low sissy bar.

Yeah, I was also looking at something like this: 155L Extra Large Waterproof Duffel Bag

My issue with duffel bags is they either stick out to the side too much, or sit too high. I tried using one for bike camping last year, and ditched it for a standard backpack lashed behind me. I put everything in waterproof bags inside the pack, and the pack is an old ALICE medium (heavily modified), so it can take the abuse of the weather. There are smaller versions that dont do that, and I would suggest maybe looking into those? And, if you do, go to your local big box store and get a roll top dry bag, cheap.
I have come to packing everything I need in my saddle bags, and a packable cheap backpack is kept in there, that I can strap onto the luggage rack, if needed, for extra stuff. I can get 4 days easy with just my saddle bags though. Granted, its only me-adding a passenger, of the female persuasion, multiplies items exponentially....

I deliberately bought a bike without a tourpak and got by without for a while. Eventually I realised they provide great capacity (depending on what you want to carry) and gave in. Dead easy to fit and remove as required. Mrs B loves it.....

Jus' sayin'!

That's a darn interesting looking sack! I think I like it quite a bit!

Only thing I don't see is a way to compress it side to side. Not that 33 inches is very big. But if you wanted to squeeze it down, simple enough with a bit of rope or separate strap.

If you have a Cycle Gear nearby, you can checkout the different dry bags they offer.

I have used a Cabela's Boundary Waters II Duffel Bag, size: Regular.
For people that have a tour-pak, it does seem a bit large lengthwise when sitting on a tour-pak rack. It's 24" long and you need to pack it properly, otherwise the ends of the bag droop down and will touch the top of the tour-pak.

For strapping your soft luggage down, look into getting Rok Straps.
