Default Fatcat Install Complete!!!

The install went without a hitch!! The fitment and finish is second to none. Very very nice pipe. The map I got from a member here is working well. Thanks again brother.

BUT, I do have one problem! The pipe has the silent baffle installed!! [:@] I distinctly told my guy who ordered it that I wanted the performance baffle. I called D&D in Texas to verify that it was the "silent' baffle. (very nice folks by the way)I called my guy here who ordered it, he told me that he would look into itand get back to me in the next few days.I swear I can't get a win infor nothing.

I'm going to take it for a spin as I have only started it so far. I'll post back later with my thoughts on performance etc.

For what it's worth, the quiet baffle is reported to perform as good or better than the standard baffle.

Yea... we definitely need some pics!

I believe there is a "performance", "Standard", and "quiet" baffle. Either the STD or QT should be fine. I don;t think I'd mess with the performance baffle. The pipe (w/std & qt baffle) makes too much torque down low to F with!

I'm very happy with the quiet baffle............it has a great sound to it.

Time to get rid of that signature pic and update it with the better looking pipe on there................LOL

maineuc, I love that sig pic. Much nicer than the old one, IMO. Also like the link to the specs, nice touch. Pipe looks sweet. Maybe you are done swapping exhausts?!

Well, I went for a nice ride yesterday afternoon. The sound difference in between the Bassani and the Fatcatis very distinct. After putting almost5000 miles to the ground with the Bassani's, it is taking some getting used to the sound of theFatcat. The Bassani has amuch deeperrumble at idle. Although, I reallydolike the "race" sound the Fatcat has. As far as performance, seat of the pants tells methe two exhaustsarefairly close. Firstis the same, second andthird feel liketheyhave a little more pull, and fourth and fifth feel pretty close to the Bassanias well. One thing Idid notice right away was that the throttle seemed much more responsive.Overall I am pleased with the switch.

What can I expect this pipe to sound like with a good engine build? Not talking a patched up build either, looking at a GMR or HQ's package. You know, parts that compliment each other. (right Phil [8D])I was going todo the engine stuffnext winter, not sure if I can wait now.
