Aren't those trim strips on CVO bikes?

I wondered the same thing, so I went out and measured the the stock seat length on my RK. It's 18" from nose tip to the back of the saddle (as Sargent shows how they measure theirs), so in my case, the 'short reach should work. So that's the seat length. The seat position (fore or aft) may or may not be different from stock. I didn't notice the other description using 14" & 18", so yeah,,, I think giving them a call before ordering would be a good move.

yes, those are the trim strips that fit under the passenger pillion on the cvo bikes. and yes, you can buy those. at $30 each from your local or a little less from a discounter.

and I also noticed that the sargent seat looks like a spitting image of the cvo seat that I bought and put on my 2019. but looks can be deceiving. it may look the same, but does it 'feel' the same? would be interesting to find out. personally, if i'm going to spend that kind of money, then I would go to the corbin factory and do their ride in program and have a seat custom built for you.

Website says a backrest for this seat is "in development", once they release that version I'd seriously consider one. I had a Sargent seat on my Suzuki Bandit and it was a huge improvement over the stock seat. Then again, sitting on a milk crate would have been an improvement.

Any of you guys have a CVO seat you could measure from tip to top edge of the seating area to see how it compares?

I only get 17" on the SG/RG seat that came on my '19 Road King. Thought the stock RK seat was 1" shorter than that, 16". I get 18" if I go back to the seam in front of the backrest slot.

Either way, a claimed 20" (if real) for the extended length is probably the longest seating area I've seen on an aftermarket solo seat, apart from custom.

even with that, I’d want an overhead picture, so I could see the seat pocket in relation to the side rails. A whole lot of the aftermarket “close” seats actually aren’t.
