Help!!! Looking at first touring bike - 2015 Road King
#12
If you like the bike I would purchase in a heartbeat. After I got it home I would sit down with the wife and see what it would take to make her bike more comfortable for her. If she likes her bike better seat and shocks can help make the bike more towards her comfort. Power is nice but comfort can put more miles on for enjoyment.

Good night, what an idiot I am. Thanks for catching that. I have no idea where the 2007 junk came from. I must have gotten it confused with another post. Anyway, it was stupid. I'll delete the post since nothing in it is accurate with the model being a 2015 Police King.

I appreciate the response, and would agree if the bike was a 2007. However, the bike I am considering is a 2015 Road King Police model (not a 2007 - my sportster is a 2007 model).
I did look at the bike in person this morning. The seller bought it from a somewhat local HD dealer in the next county a few years ago, and it has been kept in a garage. Bike is completely stock. It is a full black/chrome version, and I doubt that this bike was ever put into a police fleet (as 99% of police bikes in our area are the green and white or blue and white models - I've never seen any cops within 75 miles on black bikes). It is very clean, bags do not have the pucks on the top, and it has a full passenger seat. Bike has cruise control and ABS. Also, it doesn't have the rear tour pack docking hardware that I've been seeing on actual police auction bikes in our area. The bike does, however, have rear passenger pegs (not floorboards) so who knows. I do know the bike started right up from cold (yes, I felt the heads and pipes before he started it), and it definitely sounded smoother than the 2010 Dyna I sold a year ago.
I was able to get him down to $8000. I took the bike for a quick ride around his street (will do a real road test before finalizing), and I love the feel.
Given the price drop, the condition, etc., I think I am going to move forward unless someone here has any more comments that would steer me away from the bike.

At $8000, that's a great deal for a 2015 Road King Police model. Enjoy that steed! I'll delete my first post to you, since it's bad info.
I really was trying to help, not be a downer type critic.
