Default Fogging went wrong!

Hi all,

My genius idea to fog my 103 for the winter back fired on me. The thin red plastic tube popped off the aerosol and fell into the cylinder. Am I the only one this has happened to?

What I’ve tried so far: bumped the motor a few secs to see if it would pop out.
Taped a 3/8 tube to a vacuum and stuck it into the cylinder.
Bent a hook on a copper wire and tried
Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

There is a much easier way to store the engine over the winter.

Just turn the ignition off, and don`t turn it on until spring.

Works for millions of riders all over.

Pull the head

you may be dropping intake and exhaust to fish that little thing out of there at a minimum.

You can probably hook it out with a piece of wire. But, if not, it’s plastic and it’ll burn out quickly enough when you start the engine.

I was going to suggest vacuum, but I see you tried that. My fear wit popping the engine would be you smashed the plastic cap against the cylinder head and stuck up there... An inspection camera should help if you know someone that has one. Maybe blow some compressed air to see if the stupid thing moves around?

Lastly, this may not help but may draw a smile on your face

Put the bike in 6th gear and jack the back wheel off the ground so you can rotate it. Rotate the wheel until the piston is at or near TDC. From there, you're on your own.

Get one of these grabber tools, they will fit thru the spark plug hole an fish around a little until you feel the plastic straw, may take a few tries but you will get it. You can buy them at an Auto Parts store or order from Amazon See Link.

Sticky tape wrapped around a straw should get you there. Patience and tenacity will win out.
