Default Rocker Box bolt cover ???

How in the hell do you put these things on? I've put quite a bit of force with pressing them on and they are not popping on...dont want to break them.

The ones on my bike have a very small allen head screw that hold them on. Check to see if yours have them. You'll probably need to back out the allen screw a little bit to put them on. Not saying yours are like mine but something needs to hold them on and I'm guessing it's some type of fastener. HTH, Bryan

No, no screw. If you look at the inside it looks like they should justpop on and there enough tension to hold them in place.

They snap on really hard....waste of money in my opinion, I had some and they pop off on road.

I used to use them, but I'd lose one and dang if you have to buy four at a time. After losing the last replacement, I just gave up, cleaned the bolt heads and painted them silver.

Life is just too short to screw with trivial sh*t like this.

I've pushed like hell on these things, can you place something over them and use a hammer to tap them on?

In some cases, if room permits, you can lay a pair of needle noses over them and tap with hammer or in tight spots a flat screw driver. Or if all else fails, depending on the model of bike you have you can take the bolts that hold the gas tank and console on out and with someones help lift and rotate the tank out of the way a little so you can get a direct hit on them with your hammer.

Make sure you orient or clock them. Makes it easier to push on. Another thing I did was wrap some electrical tape around a large flat tip and use it flat on the cover with slight pressure and they went on, mostly the one with limited space. I haven't lost any on both bikes of ours.. The one's that have set screws are for the head bolts.
