Beautiful day today in NY. Took a local ride down to the beach and met up with about 50 other riders. We ended up taking a ride around town for a couple hours. After leaving the pack, I was headed home for dinner, when I suffered from "brain freeze" while navigating a curve.
Next thing I know, my front wheel locked a bit, then I let up, and hit the rear wheel, and went into a side skid with the rear wheel coming out from underneath me. I had gotten to the point of scraping my left floor board, before I regained enough control to accelerate and upright the bike and continue.

I pulled over, saw a 20 foot skid mark (not my pants), and thanked the Lord for some quick reflexes.

Just thought I'd share my close call.

I'd ask the wife to use a little extra bleach in the underwear this week.

 

Glad you made it o.k., a miss is a good thing and makes you say thank you to powers to be. Itsnot if you go down, but when. The nera misses are always good to talk about all winter long in northeast. Stay safe.

 

Im not sure bleach will do it, probably best to through that pair away. Glad to hear all is well, and sometimes its good when things like that happen, it wakes us up, and lets you know who is boss.

 

A little respect for that iron between your legs. Glad you came out of it ok.
