Having this beautiful amazing machine! Has me all obsessed over her! I think about her constant and ways to upgrade and improve every aspect of the bike! Is this what its going to be like my reminder of days in Harley heaven???? Lol

Congrats!! Hope that feeling lasts a long time. I wouldn't worry about or adding anything but mile for a while.

Blasphemy! Get the credit cards, and wrenches out!

OP, tell us about your new machine. That pic is a bit shy on details

Well, only time will tell. Some are never satisfied. My first Harley was just over 10 years ago when I was 62 and hadn't had or even ridden a bike in over 30 years. Took me a while to figure out what I wanted and what I needed and what I didn't need. But, I did finally figure it out. I am now on my 4th Harley and bought this one (lightly used '16 RGU) a little over two years ago. The previous owner had already added most of what I would have added myself so as far as mods go I have spent very little money after purchasing the bike. Yeah, I added a few things, but nothing major. And I am just so pleased with my current ride I am tickled pink! And for the last couple of years I haven't even gone on the HD website to see the new models when they come out nor have I spent any time looking at the new models on a HD showroom floor. Simply not interested in the new ones cause I like what I already have so much.

Kinda like finding the right woman. Once you find the right one you will have some "inner peace" and save a hell of a lot of money LOL.

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the club.

Adding accessories and creating the bike for you is fun, exciting and expensive. Knowing what I know today spend your first money on suspension. You will be amazed at how it transforms the handling of the bike for the better and safer. You will enjoy the bike much more. Start at the back with premium coil over shocks, many great brands. Then you will want to do the front.

Enjoy

Before you spend a penny on modifications, bite the bullet now and buy a Handy Lift, you`ll never regret it.

Like Dan suggested, a lift, of some type, will serve you well. I went with a jack, the Sears "Yellow" motorcycle/ATV lift/jack. All that I need and I think I paid like $189 or so about 5 years ago. I don't do much wrenching and seldom do I need to lift my bike all the way off the floor but just sliding my jack under the bike and raising it enough to get it standing straight up gives me easy access for rolling around the bike on my little stool and cleaning, checking, tightening, etc., etc. Much much easier access all the way around and much much easier on my back. And by keeping the bike standing straight up it takes up much less room in the garage.

Here is a link for the Sears yellow jack. I note that it says "not available temporarily" or something like that so, maybe, it has been discontinued. Dunno, but mine has been great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
