Congratulation on your new ride. I like the fact that there are not chrome on the engine and the engine is not finish in black texture.

Depending on how many years you intend to keep your bike.....

Like many other suggestions....I recommend keeping Harley accessory catalogs around your year model. They are nice to give you pictures and part numbers with a good description. In a few years...that accessory won’t be available from Harley.

If you add any accessory....keep the instruction sheet. They contain part numbers for the necessary hardware if ever needed.

Default Moto jack

I don't do much wrenching and seldom do I need to lift my bike all the way off the floor but just sliding my jack under the bike and raising it enough to get it standing straight up gives me easy access for rolling around the bike on my little stool and cleaning, checking, tightening, etc., etc. Much much easier access all the way around and much much easier on my back. And by keeping the bike standing straight up it takes up much less room in the garage.

Here is a link for the Sears yellow jack. I note that it says "not available temporarily" or something like that so, maybe, it has been discontinued. Dunno, but mine has been great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Good morning and thank you for all the information and I will go today for the jack

Asa, congratulations on your first Harley. It is a fine looking machine.

Aside from chrome and accessories, it is just as important to keep it safe. Maintain good insurance on it.

Here's a few points. Las Vegas is a nice town but, like all cities, it does have it's share of unsavory individuals. Even nice residential neighborhoods like ****icane Co** Court. The good news is that your garage door doesn't have any windows like both of your neighbors. You don't want thieves peering in to your garage and drooling over your beautiful bike. Oh, that blue security sign in your yard won't deter anyone.

Just one more thing. The internet itself isn't safe. There's no need to make it any easier for someone to obtain personal information about you. You are using your personal name as your user name here on HDForums. You also gave your city and state. Do your self a favor and change one of them.

To change your location:
Click 'User CP' on the left side of the colored bar above the subforum name. Then, under "Your Profile" click 'Edit Your Details'. Location is the third box down..

To change your user name you MUST contact an administrator.
The moderator, IzzoQuazzo, has a strong presence on these forums. Click here to see his member profile. Click on the 'Social Profiles' tab and then 'Send a private message to IzzoQuazzo'.

Ride safe and enjoy your first Harley.

Addiction with a capital A! Best feeling! Freedom on the open road! Mountain driving or driving your Harley down the coast of Oregon and through the red wood forest! The pinocle of heaven I’m telling you
