Default They did it again...

Picked up my bike Saturday following the 30K service. Took two days longer than the dealer said it would. Checked the oil level BEFORE leaving the service bay. Sure enough, it was past the full hot mark on the dipstick and the bike was stone cold. The tech who had done the service came out and said it couldn't be overfilled. He knew he had only put 4 quarts in it. Except that it's an Evo and only takes 3.5 qts. They expect me to pay $75 an hour for that crap. The first time could have been a mistake. This time proves it's just plain dumba$$. If you're ever in North Alabama, steer clear of Rocket H-D if you need service.

You are right, for the money you would expect a little more attention to the details. Like...uuummm...using a tech manual.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Here in AZ, we have the same problem. Most dealers don't pay or train their people enough to care about customers bikes. I just had mine customized recently and I'm really reluctant to take it to the stealer for any service. Also, there are so many dealerships in the Phx area, that one dealer will steal a good tech from another. So, there is no incentive for the tech to care. Let alone know the difference between an Evo and TC88. It is a shame.

I personally like the Ramjet here in Phoenix. Not a dealer business, and the guy tells me what he's doing while I watch, so I get to learn. Nice I also don't take it in till he can do it then, unless I'm busy with work and want to just get it done while I work.

I took mine to East Side Performance in Mesa. They are bit pricey, but they do quality work and good dyno tuning.

The Rocket would never do that there service is the best...... NOTThey are the reason I do my own services That and the prices are outrageous. If you are not doing them your self you should at least give Fosters a call in Tuscumbia 2563835814 ask for Don 147.00 with Syn-3 if you chose to do so

Why does everything associated with a Harley cost five times more than it should? An oil change takes no time at all. I just did it for the first time and it took me 45 minutes partly because I did not have a strap filter wrench.

An oil change should cost about 50 bucks even with SYN 3.
