CUre (for me) bile won't start
2009 Electra Glide Classic, newish battery, new battery in the fob.
Went for a ride, came out & alarm flashing "I''m being stolen". No way could I get it to behave, over 20 minutes, with the fob literally on the seat, still doing it.
There were no other modern cars around so not RF interference from THAT source.
The only thing I could think of, was my iPhone in the belt holster. Sure enough, turned it off, and the bike started first crack.
Try it, it might save a tow bill.

Having your PIN and knowing how to use it is even better, works when the fob battery has died OR when there is rf around. Because many people don't master the system, Harley security prevents many more owners from riding than it prevents thefts. It's ALL in the owner's manual.

There is a small paragraph in my 2013 Road Glide owners manual about not riding with the key Fob in a metal case or with it closer than 3 inches to a cell phone, PDA, display, or other electronic device. Any electromagnetic interference may prevent the Fob from disarming the system. Good job Alter Kaker on figuring this out.
