damn is that bike fun to drive...so nimble, and plenty of powah as well. anyway, gave her parking lot lessons for about an hour...then moved to a nice little neighborhood track with very few cages, and plenty of slow winding turns, and a nice liesurly 45 mph pace and she really got the hang of the ride, with me following behind....5000% improvement over the first 15 minutes in the parking lot when i was wondering wtf did i do getting her a bike...lol. she got the 1200 low, i feel a bit like a circuis performer riding it...but it drives nice despite my inability to stretch the legs out....really has some nice pickup and holds its own on the freeway surprisingly on way home from dealer... i will however not be trading in my RKC, lol.

Hers....cobalt blue, but ya know i like it alot. hate those black spoked wheels on it though, as does she....but i think its good we got her what she felt comfy with...i was trying to talk her into a used dyna low rider up until last night....but after today i think the 1200 low fits her great and she would have been just that much more scared on the dyna. i couldnt help but to order her v/h short shots, a v/h fuelpak, and s/e air cleaner as well. one thing i really dont like on the bike is the footpegs....need to see if they can be replaced with some form of floor board.

I have been showing my wife how to ride the last couple of weeks. She is really getting good. I still get nervous watching her ride, but she does fine. As I have stated before, her bikewas given to her by her mother. Her mom is 'borrowing' it for the week, guess I need to break down and buy her a HD.We wereat the dealer today, and she just loves the night train. I am very found of it, as well. If I had not been 'practical' when buying my bike, for mostly two up riding, the night train was on my list. Hopefully, she will really miss riding this week, and we can pick her up a bike. Maybe!!

I've been looking myself, and from what i can see, running boards for the Sporty are hard to come by. HD does sell a set of mini-boards for it, but they don't look like they'd be all that great.

The thing is, the Sporty has kinda low ground clearance, and I think you'd probably tend to drag them if you weren't careful.

Congrats to your wife on the newsporty! She's going to love that bike and you'll enjoy having her ride along side you. Glad you let her pick her color.

I had a sporty for a couple of years before the street glide and my boyfriend had a blast riding it! He used to move it around like a toy. He did look pretty funny on it though!
