I was riding down a four lane road today.....two lanes each way. I was traveling about 65 mph and came up on another bike so I just road behind him for a bit going 60 to 65 mph. When a car driving the opposite direction lost a front wheel!!! The car slammed to the ground and the wheel with the tire still full of air was headed right for us. I was worried about the tire but also the driver of the car had almost no control and the break rotor was also headed my way. The guy riding in front of my hit the throttle and I hit the breaks... Yep the runaway tire went bouncing right between us. Break rotor (pieces) went behind me almost at the same time the tire was bouncing at what seemed like across my front fender. We stopped at the light and talked for a minute. He had no idea where the tire came from....He said he saw it coming and just hit the throttle. That's as close as I have come to getting taken down. Bike is now in the garage and I am thanking God that I am typing this right now.[/align] [/align] Ride Safe![/align]
