My '06 had the heel shift removed when I bought it. All I had to buy was the shift lever itself-$10 bucks on ebay. I haven't seen any 'bushings' on the shifter edit-I see the bushing in diagram posted, but if the PO simply removed the heel shift, that bushing should still be there.

Nice, but he's trying to go back to a heel shifter, not eliminate it. In your pick is a spacer that was installed after removing the heel shift. So,remove that spacer, and install the heel shift.

along with the missing stock spacer... it is about 1/2 the size of the one he has on there now without the heel shifter... even with both, the heel and toe shifters, there is a narrower spacer/bushing... but i bet the OP knows what he's looking for by now lol

Nice, but incorrect.

Remove this 1 5/8" heel shift eliminator.

Install this 5/8" spacer. Part #5817, then install the heel & toe shifters.

Copy that, tried it for a while when I got my first Harley never could get used to it. Too much muscle memory from my old dirt bike days I guess.

Hope you haven't laid out any money yet.

Go to the local dealers on a slow day and chitchat with the service guys. When my trike decided to throw the rear shifter somewhere out in the middle of a 70mph stretch loooong before my next shift, I went in to see how much it would cost to replace. Service guy laughed and pulled out a big box of 'em from under the counter and stuck one on free of charge. Said they had so many guys that want "the damn thing OFF" as soon as they buy a bike, they had them running out their ears and were more than happy to give 'em away.

Definitely worth a try. Just don't bug 'em when they're busy.

Looks like you got it. I knew what you were taking about. That spacer sits between the primary and the shifters presumably to take up slack so the shifter doesn't contact the primary.

Did you remove that big bushing to see if that spacer was nested inside of it? One of the eliminated kits I have installed is like that.

Cheese & friggin' rice is there no end to their unmitigated GALL?!

Why don't they eliminate the engine, frame & tranny & just sell you a tire for 20large, & call it a blank canvas?
