RE: TC 96 initial impressions
Greb, I had heard about the 98" kit from GMR. You might want to check it out. I will now be saving the pennies. http://www.gmrperformance.com/Twin_C...e_Packages.htm

I have yet to ride a 96 ci with the 6 speed. But I can say that I'm amazed with my tuned 95 over my stock 88. Just out of curiosity, what do you guys and gals run as far as rpm's with a6 speed at 70 mph? I'm running just under 3k at 70 in 5th.

Don't have a tach so gathered data into a spreadsheet and came up with the attached image. It's based on an unconfirmed tire diameter taken from Dunlop's website; may be a couple percent leeway.

I marked my rear tire and counted off 4 turns walking my bike down the street. Then measured the distance and divided by 4, arriving at 78.4" per tire rotation (for tires with ~3500 miles on them). Plugged that into the spreadsheet and got the attached results. Since I wasn't on the bike the rolling radius was likely a bit greater but I'd guess that, at speed, centrifugal force would factor in a bit so I feel confident this chart is representative of what's really happening. Needles on gauges could well be a few percent off but the gearing is always 100% correct.
