Harley being cheap on the 2020 Road Glide Limited ?

since 2007, I have bought 7 touring bikes with security. I have needed the second keyfob exactly 0 times. I do know how to start my bike using the security override pin, though it would suck to lose a fob and have to buy a replacement.

Here's a list of what it includes, I have to say vehicle hold control is pretty spiffy!

I got a second one. I gave it to my wife. So if were out and I either loose mine or the battery goes dead, I have a backup.

My 2017 Kawi only came with 1 fob, but there is a second key in a holder, and the holder when held a certain way in a spot near the top of the steering head, will unlock the steering head and turn the ECU on.
I want to say a replacement fob is close to $400 dollars plus programming which means a trip to the dealership.
And there is no way to enter a code like on my 13 bagger, no fob, no backup , you are FUBAR'd
My Kawi also has traction control, which you can turn off. If a vehicle is injected ( you can read throttle position) and has ABS ( wheel speed sensors) , traction control is onlt a few more lines of code, especially with linked brakes. The only difference between a car and bike is the steering angle sensor that factors into calculating differing wheel speeds when turning or not going straight ahead
I'm really glad I have my 03 and 13 baggers, I doubt I would buy another HD.

the bike I was trading in, my '15 FLHTCU?
I said; "you know I do. I always have them,"
He said then that Harley was considering dropping one of them because people hardly
ever had two when they traded bikes in.
If people didn't think enough of the Fob to keep up with one, why give two?
By the way; the SM said everyone always said they'd look for the other Fob, but they
never bring it by.............

I think it was when I got the '17 FLTRXS the Sales Manager asked if I had the Fobs for

I just tell the SM, "we all do that". Little bit of sweet revenge.

As for the shift lever I think this is the way that HD chose to fix the problem with them falling off...
C'mon... this is the state of HD. It's on it's way out for the older bikers... they are more interested in sponsoring concert tours by groups like Green Day than making better more reasonably priced motorcycles. STOP complaining and accept what has been HD reality for a number of years or get a Honda... etc. Me? I'm gonna make my next bike an older bike and rebuild it and in the process fix all of the known failures. A dependable 88 will do just fine... just a little cam while I fix the stupid cam chain followers, for example.

Well my complaint is also a heads up to other 2020 buyers.
If your idea of biking is trying to out smart HD with a fix for known issues good luck. I would rather hit the road then play mechanic and engineer . But you go and ride your dependable 88 . I`ll stick To my 20 RGL .
