I did the same. Returned the Harley ones and bought Ciro. Little more expensive but they look good and no marks to worry about.

Curious, I have a j&s jack, any impact on jacking up the bike with these on the frame?

Previous bikes of course had chrome, and I was very careful but the unavoidable little scratches were there, but not really visible until you really get in close, I feel like they will be much easier to see with black.

I think the scratches are part of the game, but I feel your concern.

Maybe buy some black rubber radiator hose, cut little pieces for each mounting area, slice it and put on bars where the pegs mount.
