Default Demo Truck was in Town

Got a chance to ride a Road Glide Limited, Ultra Limited, and a Street Glide Special - all 2020 models. Street Glide was a lot of fun, very nimble and handled well. I had never ridden a Street Glide before. Shorty windshield is sporty but not much use, it would have to go. I assume the Specials still have the short shocks, and that would be a definite drawback. The Ultra Limited road well, had plenty of power. I prefer the bars and gage package on it over the Road Glide setup. But cockpit seemed cramped after the RG. The RG Limited seemed to ride the best - handled well and very supple suspension for a HD. Seat seemed more comfortable that the Ultra Limited and had a subtle shape difference at the back of the driver's seat. More air flow on the RG but less buffeting. Didn't seem to have as much weather protection as the Ultra Limited and I suspect those big rain scoops on either side of the touch screen might be a problem in wet weather. In the end, on the way home, my 2014 Ultra Limited felt more comfortable. The extra power of the 114 is nice but my stock 103HO meets my needs. Maybe this winter I'll upgrade my stock suspension - spend $2000 and save $18,000!

I paid $805 for Pro Action shocks, but I was already a sucker and had the bike.

Cool

The ride home on your own bike is always an interesting contrast to any test ride! Sometimes the old'un holds up well, then another time it has to go. Ah well....
