Default Oberon or soft brake clutch which is closer ?

Question for those who have tried Oberon or softrbrake clutch lever, which one is closer to the grips ? I have softbrake and like it, although I would like to have lever little more closer to grips than where softbrake is at. Thank you.

Oberon can get you closer but you may lose the ability to start it in gear.

Thanks. But does that mean I’ll have issues while shifting too ?

The oberons shift fine on close settings, but won't make up the safety switch for starting in gear. You will have to adjust them out to make switch contact for in gear starting. I got mine to help with arthritis. Do they? Maybe, lol.

Nope, it’ll shift fine like Billib1954 said, you just might not be able to start in gear when it’s dialed up close to the grip.

I had the Oberon and went to the softbrake. The Oberon will move your hand farther outward from the left control paddle.

I went from Oberon to Softbrake too but it was because I didn’t like the sharper angles on the Oberon lever.
