Intermittent speaker output on 12 Tri-Glide..
Speakers started intermittent output this weekend, both CD and radio
while riding down the road. Thinking it may be a heat problem with the
audio output, as it was HOT during the 6 hr. ride.
But today the CD has ran for 3 hrs, in the garage without a problem.
So I have a loose connection somewhere, and for sure someone has
had the same problem. So where would be a good place to look?
Also the speakers will come back on while I am riding if I flip the speaker
switch from center position to bottom speaker position. But will go dead again.
After trying to jar around the switches and such, I can not duplicate the problem.
Any input, from someone that has been here, done that!.....tenn.vol.

Your radio is most likely broken.

It could for sure be the radio, just does not like the vibration from the road.
As it has worked flawless for 3 hr. setting in the garage.
I was hoping someone who had the same problem could point at something
like the speaker sw. or another connection.....
Thanks for the input.......tenn.vol.

I’m on my third stock radio that’s out. It’s vibration that shakes the circuit board apart. It eventually will stop
making sound completely. You can send it to Iron Cross and they will fix it but it will go out again eventually after their warranty is up. Nothing you can do but buy a used stock one and try to get a couple of years out of it or go aftermarket.
