My seat search and how ended up with the Russel Day Long

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like about the same height as the Road Zeppelin seat when its aired up. I had a Zeppelin and sold it as it was just to bit tall for me. I have a 30" inseam and tippy toeing a 800 pound bike is not fun. I'll have to stick with my Hammocks. Thanks again. HMT

I have ridden allot of miles on stock Harley seats, and I have never complained, but the heated Hammock is terrible. I called one guy who does some seat work and was told they will not work on those seats? Any one heard this? My wife loves her portion and it has to remain heated, like Texas gets cold enough to use it but she is the boss.

I'm not surprised.... the Hammock has a suspension system that is basically a strap down the middle of the seat. Most people who do custom seat work, use various foams and sometimes gel, on top of a seat pan, to get their seats formed and comfortable.. They probably don't want their work to be based on top of someone else's suspension system.
The Hammock suspension system has been known to pull out of the seat pan. There is a thread on this forum that shows how to fix it, or prevent it, by putting two screws through the strap into the seat pan.

I have a 20" and a 22" Freedom Shield, I run the 20" with the RDL. I tried 22" with the RDL and it's just a tad too tall (I like the "look over not through"). For reference, I could run the 22" with the Police seat.
