Default Considering purchase but really struggling pulling the trigger

Been looking at a 15 Ultra classic low. This gorgeous bike only has 960 miles on it. It has every bell and whistle and all paperwork etc. The original owner purchased and shortly after was diagnosed with skin cancer so it simply sit. He has had it in for service 3 times. Well he is doing a lot better now but doesn't want to continue riding so here we are. The bike is perfect...it really looks brand new. I can get it for $14k, but for some reason just holding back on pulling the trigger..I got the cash! Is that a decent deal for a 5 yr old bike? Any thoughts?

It does seem like a great deal, but what is drawing you to the UC when you already have a RGS? Is there a certain feature that it has that you would like on your current bike? A '15 is a step back from where you are now, maybe you could save a bunch of money and add onto your RGS.

You only live once, if you want the UC and can afford it, buy it!

Well the Road Glide has been modified quite a bit, (pitbull front end, stage 2, extended bags, seats, stereo etc...etc. also it has a very special place in my heart as my late wife and I picked it out. I am starting to go on longer and longer trips and I just don't want to beat the road glide up...so a few of the folks I ride with really seem to like their ultras so I was thinking of adding it to the stable for mainly longer trips or rainy days when I will not take the Road glide out...

In that case, add another vote to the folks saying "buy it"!

Nada guide indicates Low retail is 12,905 and High retail is 16,980. not sure where private party fits in. If the bike is what you are wanting and fits your needs seems to be a fair price for both of you

It's a fair deal. I think many of us hesitate to pull triggers with that much money even when we know it's all good. But if you had to turn around and get rid of it quickly, I think you could.
