The Biketronics interface unit and mounting kit is less expensive than hawg-wired: biketronics interface: $150; mounting kit: $50. See biketronics.com.

Many HDF members have purchased and installed the Biketronics unit and are very happy with the product (me included).

Hawg-wired makes good products and have read no complaints here about their equivalent product.

Both appear to be based on the Sony headunit hard-wired remote control unit wired toaccept theHarley Base Audio Connector 23 place AMP connector and its wiring configuration for the various remote functions.

As for the Sony headunit and satellite radio, there are internet vendors that regularly offer prices lower than Best Buy without sales tax and modest or free shipping.

Just remember when you buy non Harley and you later want to add GPS, Blue tooth, CB, and intercom you would have wished you invested in a Harley Harmon Cardon. I bought all the goodies and am installing them on my 07 FLHT. Good luck on your install
