Any performance differences between the baffles? Do the fatcats have a deeper tone than the rineharts or??
Phil did some testing with the 2 baffles for D&D, he has a thread about it in the touring section.

It all came down to this..............the quiet baffle made better power, and is a bit quieter at idle and cruise.

Being my 9th exhaust in 2 years, I have a bit to compare it to
Looking forward to seeing how the dyno numbers compare.

My experience was that when I bought the pipe I went with the standard baffle because I like noise. With my comp ratio and cam this puppy was LOUD and at highway speeds I was having to turn the radio up and my OL was NOT happy. SOOOO $145 w/shipping later I have the quiet baffle and everyone is happy, if I did it again i would just go with the quiet only. my .02

I have them and love 'em. They look great and sound excellent (esp. on decel). I do have that spacing problem, however (where pipe and muffler join).

The Fatcat sounds awsome with some compression and cam overlap. Nice rumble while crusin' ans a nice bark when you wick the throttle. You'll gain alot of driveabilty down low even on a stocker with this pipe. After switching to a 2:1 I'll never go back to 2:2.

cwilks,
Was your fatcat with the standard baffle louder than your Rinehart True Duals? I know with my build my Rineharts are Loud, so curious on your opinion since you had the Rineharts before the fatcat. Thanks

another satisfied Fatcat owner. The standard baffle is plenty loud. A friend has the "quiet baffle" and said he picked up a lil when he switched. No retune on his.

At cruising speeds the standard baffle was louder than my Rineharts (and my Rineharts were plenty loud)....maybe it was because instead of both sides all the noise is on one sidenow. I had to turn my radio up louder than I did with my RH with the standard baffle. Keep in mind that CR and cam are going to make a difference in how much bark you get, mine barked plenty

Bringing back on old thread here - sorry.

I'm considering getting this pipe for my 07 FLHTCU - 103 ci build. I know that I'll need to do some type of fuel management so my question is "Will this pipe be as hot as my stocker with slipons?" I assume that since it will also be dyno tuned that the excessive heat will go away.

What say you? (sorry, I was watching O'Reilly!)
