I bought a 2012 RKC in 2016 that had been a garage queen, it had only 300 miles on the odometer. I'm at about 25,000 now three years later. This is the first bike I've owned with a drive belt, all my other bikes were shaft drive. The belt looks fine to me, but if I ever had a belt failure this is not something easily changed on the roadside even if a person has a spare. The bike is 7 years old now, should the belt be changed just given the age?
Take a look at your belt every once in a while, like when you're changing a tire or you happen to have the bike on a stand. Look for fraying on the edges and possibly and damage on the belt (could be anything). Otherwise, no worries. My belt is over 20 years old, 90k miles, still original.
Most belt failures involve the use of aftermarket pulleys - particularly the rear one. The belt will begin to crack at the bottom of the teeth first
and if there is no cracking there you're good to go imo.
I caught a rock in my belt at 50,000 miles. As long as it didn't compromise the edge of the belt, I was advised to leave it alone. Almost no belt failures.
Don't even think about it unless has a tear going through the edge.
