When I went to see Crazy Horse in 2010 it was not during the rally. Why would I want to go to Sturgis?

I take it you've not been then?

When it takes you a half hour or more to get through a little city of 6447 people and it's bumper to bumper traffic with heat on an air cooled bike then for Sturgis it's a crowd.

If you don't want to be there, we don't want you there... that's for sure.

Have been several times, can only take so much of the jam packed crowds before I need some space.

Have also ridden to East Coast Sturgis. I recall it raining for like 2 days straight. It was part of a larger tour but Marshall Tucker was playing so was memorable.

1. If you're a fan of live music, there's certainly plenty of that to go around. Iron Horse Saloon had free concerts every evening. I was able to see
,
and
.
2. People watching in the bars. Maybe meet an interesting character.
3. Checking out the vendors looking for that new and interesting product.
4. A run down the dragstrip at Strugis Dragway. Baker's All-in to go All-out event is free. I took 10 runs down the dragstrip.

I'm sure there are many other reasons. Personally, I just enjoy the vibe.

I bet watching people ride up and down that large and fairly steep hill in the campground is rather entertaining.

I had said I was not there during the rally. I think it was probably in June.

I recall some folks w/ a saddlebag full of beer and ice that kept pushing Coors Lights on me.....that and the rain, felt like I was in a Rambo movie at times.
