For the life of me, I can't understand the tire shredding infatuation in Sundance. Maybe folks just enjoy watching someone else tearing his bike apart. I must be getting old and just don't know quality entertainment.

I enjoy burnouts with fat treadless tires, PJ1 formerly known as VHT, and nitromethane. The mixture makes for a most enjoyable experience.

I drag raced cars for 20 + years, I've done so many burnouts I don't have the desire to do one on my bike!

Got to Sturgis on 7/28 and left 8/5. Flew from ATL to Des Moines, picked up a Heritage and Road King and set off for 5 days of riding the Black Hills and beyond.

Can vouch for the butterfly population in Iowa.....unbelievable. Don’t understand the rain concern. This had to be the driest 2 weeks around Sturgis in the 79 years of the rally. Had one day where rain was an issue and it was so inconsequential it didn’t even require a rain suit.

Great time.

Default back from Sturgis

3950 mile in 5 days. I am beat. I had a blast. I tent camped in a yard in town, Rode 850 the first day and did an easy 550 the second day to get from Chattanooga to Sturgis/ Went by myself and really enjoyed beating my horse to get their and back. I didnt have to put on my raingear at all.

Hey Ridingout, How was your ride to Sturgis? How was your whole experience? Me and a few guys rode out there in 2012. It was a good time just getting there not to mention all the riding we did out there. Beautiful country and awesome riding!

the ride was great except for rain from souix city Iowa to Mitchell South Dakota. I'm still here for 1 more day. I've been to Rushmore ,crazy horse spearfish canyon, needles highway, iron mountain, through buckhorn wyoming down to Newport wyoming. I drank ice cold crystal clear water out of a stream between buckhorn and Newport that tastes better than the ice mountain I've been drinking. The weather here has been great, and it is beautiful here. I don't know where I'm riding tomorrow. Toby Keith here at the chip tomorrow night and then I'll be riding out early friday morning. my old *** needs to be home Saturday night so I can cut grass and rest a little before going back to work Monday.
