Yeah, he was carving up the curves, but his 1200 miles each way on the Interstate sort of sucked in terms of comfort...But me,,, I personally was not :-) carving anything, just was happy to stay in my lane :-)

Bought my Bike on August 10th, 2018 with 1,370 miles and it now has 10,800 on it :-)

Yes there was some limited construction on I-90 but it did not slow us down, Speed Limit in SD is 80 which helps

we hit a little construction on I 29 and a little on I 90 ,but no real slow downs. the rain from souix city Iowa to Mitchell really was the worst part of the trip. hundreds of butterflies across Iowa on 80 were splattered on my fairing and 1 to my forehead.

I've got 4 more days in store for riding the hills before heading home. cops are everywhere on the interstate and small towns. you have to watch your speed.

Not sure if you're aware of it, but this Weds (Aug 7th) is the annual Ham Jam in Hulett, WY and the burnout contest in Sundance -- it's the day the regular Sturgis goers make the loop from Spearfish, to Hulett, to Devils Tower, and over to Sundance. It's a scenic trip that I've done the last few years. I'm staying in Spearfish at Black Hills State University and will be making the loop Weds.

If you are on time restraints and traveling with a group over 1500 to 2000 miles a trailer is a totally viable option because you can drive the tow vehicle in shifts and go non stop getting there (for me anyway in like 24 hours or so), cutting off a day or two depending how many miles you can handle in a day if you were riding.....i usually don't get more than 4 or 5 days to set aside for bike trips so for me personally i'd have to consider this option ( i haven't gotten to Sturgis yet!!). I do want to ride there one time at least its an accomplishment, i just don't have the stinking time!! lol
