Although not really my style, it sure as hell isn't "one ugly build".

Not a bad looking bike at all.
+1 on that. To each his own.

So just leave it stock and look like everyone else? Ill bet your bike is boring as hell. I think what throws it off is the miss matched ac

Big fan of that mustang seat. Been holding in a will purchase soon cart for the right holiday discount

Are you not happy with the proportions of the bike, or what's the issue. You feel a heavier and bulkier fairing will balance out the parts you purchased?

Give us a little more info.

Amf Paint is a nice touch.

....... wassup w/the AMF decaying on the bags ?

...... i like the tank paint
but anyone who knows that that's an AMF style paint scheme,
... would know that's not an AMF machine
........... and, ..... the Ventilator suggestion was a good one.

If it hasn't been mentioned to you already in any other threads, Kraus makes the T-rex Pull Back Plate specifically for t-bar installation on batwing baggers with just a few modifications to the inner fairing itself as well as relocating the ignition. Ditching the sissy bar as mentioned previously will help too.

You can go to the end of the earth with your wallet these days to get the most performance out of your bike so do the research first and find what you really need to suit your riding style. In the end, if you really want to go down the path of swapping to a Road Glide fairing, it definitely can be done. Good luck!

PS - love that AMF paint!

Man, a guy comes on here looking for help and a bunch of people tell him his vision of his favorite bike look is ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder guys! If he likes it this way, knock himself out. I am not paying for it. If you are, then you can critique it.

OP, I like the wrecked bike idea somebody ahead said to do. Then you get the mounting brackets and all of the misc crap that will nickel to dime you to death. If then you could sell off the batwing stuff here or elsewhere and recoup some of the costs.

The swap can be done but like others have said it isn't "easy" or cheap really but it can be done. Have you inquired locally if anyone is interested in a straight up bike trade? There may be a person with an RG that is thinking the exact same thing opposite to you. The RG/SG debate is as big now as the Dino/Syn oil one!! I like the seat, (not a fan of sissy bars but that's my personal preference...as far as sissy bars go its a nice one) I went with a fastback style seat on my '11 classic.. Love it...The AMF style tank is great i dig it. I also kinda like the exhaust...looks different...the bars are cool too... i see that wrap is perhaps the titanium color? I only say that because i did a Thunderheader on my '03 Wide Glide in titanium thinking id get a silver type finish but it looked kinda brass to me. I ended up re-wrapping it in the back and i liked it way better...again just my preference. The air cleaner is a contrast, if that's what you like to stand out all good....its a nice new bike that has some nice parts on it....i personally went for the blacked out air cleaner on my EG...(check sig)....so..TO ME...the only things id touch is a re wrap on the pipe in black and a black air cleaner cover....but like others have said...IT AIN'T MY BIKE, so i have no say!!! If you are dead set on the RG style you are probably not gong to stop obsessing on it.....ask around for a trade or if your willing to do the work the idea of scoring the parts on a parted out salvaged bike that's an option, but personally i think you'll end up spending more money than its worth, and who knows what that does to resale value (if anything)....its a nice bike man and brand new.....enjoy it and put out a feeler for a RG trade....you never know.

The way I see it. Swapping the fairing out will kill your warranty thru Harley for all the electronics probably. Go ask your dealer maybe they know someone that wants to swap. Swapping bikes will be easier in the long run. As far as looks go, thats a individual thing and looks good from my house. Enjoy the new bike.
