ISO Rear Fender Options - 2003 FLHR
Hey Yall,
If you're reading this I hope your day is going well. I have here a couple shots of the rear fender on my 2003 RK Classic (stock gloss black paint). As you may see the bolt holes are pretty wrecked from the signal light bar repeatedly loosening and bouncing/stressing the steel. In fact, the steel is cracked and split in an area about 1.5 inches in diameter which may not be obvious in the pics. I'm in the process of choosing a new rear fender and thought some of you may have had similar experiences with this heavy chrome light bracket f_ing up your fender like this. And what a guy might do to fix this or at least minimize the chance of this happening again.
!!!OR!!!
What aftermarket companies could you recommend that provide a high quality bolt on fender with a sleeker light system (I'm thinking more of the newer touring tail light/license plate lacation style).
Thanks for your suggestions and help!
