2007 ultra classic issues/opinions ?

I dunno, a shovel for an 2007? 07 isn't worth much.
I have one. I think 2007 was an odd year. They started chasing problems that year. Added IDS next year. Myself the clatter seemed to go away when I got rid of Harley's primary chain tensioner and went after market. Primary bearing wears out aver 25k miles. So last time went with Baker one piece.
07 is hotter, lean.
Myself, if I was getting a new bike, it would not be a 5 gallon tank. 2008 6 gallon tanks came out. People say the brakes on 2008s are better too. Then need to decided old frame versus new, which came out in 2009.
I had lots of warranty issues, and was very bitter. But a used bike should have those worked out.

There was the rear cam bearing, which was issue 99-00. Also cam chain tensioners which went to hydaullic in 2007, and seems to have taken care of it.

This being an 07 it has the hydraulic tensioner and I’ve talked to the dealer who sold it and he told me the service history of the the bike, I can’t account for the last four years the second owner has had it but he hasn’t put many miles on it since he purchased it, it’s currently at 28k, I’ve always wrenched so I’m not worried about updating the compensator and chain tensioner, I believe it’s a solid bike, but I see a lot of upgrades are going to have to be done for a guy my size to be comfortable on the bike, that and the color not popping for me are the main issues I’m dealing with, on the plus side, the wife likes the color combo, says it looks classic but needs some leather on it.

I replaced it a second time last fall. My 01, I replace at 01, since I had the primary off, at 34k, 80k still good. Are the new Harley bearings crap, or new forces? They have been chasing their tail since 2007. I though the after market chain tensioner was going to help.
I went with one piece. Now second hand from HD mechanic, said they don't like one piece. Dunno why. If you dont go one piece, I would not replace with Harley's mexican bearing.
