When Iasked if I had to return when I install thepipesI was toldno that I was good to go.I like tokeep the dealer honest and ask if this sounds right or any recommendations anyone my have.. As always, Thanks..

I understood that the stage 1 download was not applicable for 07s (the 96" motor). If you add air filter and pipes you are best to remap your ECM. I used the SERT and am very happy with the results.

With the slip-ons you should be OK. If you had put the slip-ons on and not done the Stage 1, you usually don't have to remap. But when you change the intake of air with the Stage 1 you are changing a lot more. If you were to change the whole exhaust system you would need to go back for a download again. IfI'm understanding you correctly you should be OK. I have my Pythonslip-ons on my '07 without a Stage 1 and haven't done the downloadand have no problems.

How do you/the dealerknow the download was correct for a K&N filter and V&H slipons?? Did they dyno it?? What if you would have used a V&H Big Sucker AC and Rinehart slipons ? Would the same D/L have been correct ? It was my bleif that the "canned" downloads were only good for bikes with SE air cleaners and SE pipes. And even then you will only be close. Bike needs SERT or V&H Fuel Pac or PC. Then dyno'd
