Default Inexpensive solution to tailbone pain

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to relieve tailbone pain. I'm good for the first 70-80 miles then the pain starts getting bad. 2013 limited, stock seat, stock suspension. I'm 6'-1" 280 lbs. Got 10" bars that helped with upper back pain from being slouched over with stock bars. Butt and legs feel fine for the most part. I do get a little lower back pain but I'm not sure if that is just the tail bone or not. I would like to upgrade suspension in the future but it will be a while. I would love a new seat but not sure what would work best. Looking for a cheap solution to the problem.

Some members use sheepskin. Here is a link to a recent thread.

I would look hard at the AirHawk R seat cushion.

The AirHawk R is specifically cut for men's health. ******* prostate and such.
My wife broke her tailbone a few years ago and used her AirHawk in restaurants, doctors office etc,

That's something I could afford. Do you have experience with it? How thick is it?

About 1/2" thick, just a bit extra padding, I think they were like $10 and that was Canadian, lol.

The wife and I have been using them for years and years. It will raise you about 3/4 of an inch. Make sure you get AirHawk R if you do go this route.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to find out if anyone has them locally

That age stock seat may need to be reworked. I had my stock reworked by Mean City Cycles a few years ago. It's been good since. Probably around $100+. Heard the sheepskin works well too, and I might have to try it to ride further.
