I have one but prefer the Bell. In fact the HJC I have is brand new with all tags but haven’t worn it because I still prefer the Bell. (The HJC is up for sale)
before the Bell I worn a Shoei half helmet in white but Shoei no longer makes any half helmets.

If it's no longer made you have to find an alternative, might want to start breaking in that HJC

I’m just hoping there’s still one out there..... it’s a big country. It seems that most of the companies that sell helmets actually only "drop-ship" and seldom have any inventory on hand.

Well, I was curious, so I emailed Bell. The answer:

"The color option was simply discontinued."

Even though my riding buddy has a white helmet, it's not a color you see that often. At least, I don't. I don't care for white, so I chose a silver helmet over black or dark colors because, like you, light colors are cooler. That's what I thought until I read this. Now, I'm not sure.

An old thread.....but recently I've found a couple of Bell Pit Boss helmets on Ebay....one brand new and one used.....so I bought the brand new one for $90......($129 retail)........so searching did eventually work.

Don't blame you for wanting a Pit Boss. I have one and liked it so much I bought a second one. I'm with the post above. By any color, then paint it. Hit it with some primer first then the white color of your choice. Easy peasy. I've painted a helmet before and it came out great.

MY wife and I like WHITE helmets. They are very visible! We also love the Bell Pit Boss. We have been wearing them for at least 7 years now and each on our second one in the pearl white.

Yes we were very disappointed they discontinued the white. With that said just a few days ago I'm on Revzilla's website and low and behold they have "ONLY 1 LEFT" in my wife's size, closeout for $103.00 free shipping. I jump on it and it came in 100% perfect in all new condition. She was very happy to have a backup that she really loves.

Yes I know this is an older thread.

BELL PLEASE bring back WHITE or PEARL WHITE!

I agree.....the second BRAND NEW one that I recently bought on eBay will be my "back-up". I'll break it out of the box if i ever need to replace the one I now wear. Somewhere I read about the "life expectancy" of helmets should be replaced every 5 years.....I never follow that advice. If it drops, cracks or the lining deteriorates then YES, but otherwise NO. I keep my helmets very clean inside and out and never store them over the winter in the house, not the garage. (FYI....many years ago I started cleaning my helmet interior using baby shampoo...works great, very gentle, very low suds, easy to rinse out and freshens up the interior nicely)

I'd put a clear coat on top of the paint as well.
