Woods 777 now what
Its been a little over a month since I had the Woods 777 cams and a tune. It does ride good but now, I want more power. When I first had them installed, I was shocked at how powerful the bike felt. I had a conversation with Bob at Fuel Moto. He suggested putting the baffle back into the mufflers. That now took care of the low end torque issues.
Now, I'm ready to take it to the next level. My installer originally suggested a 114 Big Bore kit, then came back and suggested a 107 Big Bore kit. Both he and Fuel Moto says there's not a big difference btwn the 107 vs. 110, and it'll probably be best to go with the 107. I want stronger consistent power but that'll still be street rideable.
So for my 2012 SG, should I go with the 107 Big Bore Kit?

Obviously haven't thought about putting that same money toward something with the M8. Keep modifying a bike not designed from the ground up for more power and you get into the cycle of finding out what the"next" weakest part is and losing riding time and money to have it fixed. Also, you will eventually get used to any modification or amount of power and want more. It is just human nature. Why didn't you just spend your money on a 16 valve crotch rocket in the first place? But you would become accustomed to that also.

A really good set of heads matched for those cams.
HPI 55mm throttle body and manifold.
D&D Fat Cat.
I wouldn't do the 107 unless something happened that meant needing to go into the jugs. I had that situation happen to me and bumped my 103 to 107, but in hindsight, I should have just pulled the cases and bored them to do a 124 kit. Would be making about 30-40 more HP for about $1500-$2000 more to bulletproof the bottom end and have 17 more cubes.

I have a FM 110, B level heads, woods 999-6 cams, and tri glide pulley etc. I love it. I'm still with water cooled heads. I'm really happy with the mods, and I plan on taking the bike on a 7k mile trip soon. IF I were to do it again, I think I would just scrap the twin cooling and go to a 124 SS or FM based engine. That's a huge jump up in price though.
