Which is the better cam to use on an 07 Electra Glide with a passenger and trailer? Which one will idle smoother? Thanks for all your help.

The 26 is an excellent Bagger cam, as is the HQ-0034.

I'm no cam expert but I understand the 21 has more torque in the midrange, something you'll need pulling a trailer. Joe Minton recommends the 21 in a hop up article in American Rider mag last year. He bored an 88 to 95 using Wiseco pistons and recommended the 21 because of the "real world" power output.

Unless you're planning on upgrading to the 103" or 110" kit, the 26G is a good choice for both TQ, HP and mileage. I've recently upgraded my TC88 to TC95, and went with the 37G. This cam provides good TQ number as well as good mileage.

I have the 26's. The bottom end is stout. However, they run out of steam at about 5k. The 21's come on and go off even earlier. I'm not so certain that i would like them even with a heavy load.

On the 96" motor, I would go with the HQ-0034G cams.

My riding style must be different than everyone else's. I couldn't care less about anything over 3500rpm on my '07. I like to cruise at about 2100-2300 rpm. If I'm cruising at 2500rpm, I'll roll on a little throttle and upshift. Not sure I've ever run over 4000 rpm except for the dyno at Jamie's.

I want the most bottom end available. I'd love to cruise at 1900 - 2000rpm. Are cams ever going to be made specifically for the 2007 motor? Or aren't there any optimizations that can be made for a 96" stroked motor vs an 88?

I have the 26A and 95CI. I like the 28's. All in all I think it is a matter of the way you ride and your personal preferrence.

Good point. I'm not sure why anyone on a Harley get's too concerned about 5k RPM and how any cams perform.

Give andrews tech support a call. I talked with them about 5x before I purchased and installed my 26n cams. Very helpful.
