I remember Harley used to make a set and I cannot find them anymore. The only thing I could find are the banana boards. And there’s no way I’m spending $400 on those. Are there any other longer floorboards available?
I went with medium sized banana boards and love them Got them from direct cycle parts and they were under $200. I found they are great to work with, sometimes if I call I can get a better deal than posted on the web.
Ehhhhh what the hell, I got the XL banana boards also and wouldn't want anything else. You don’t even need highway pegs with these and you can ride as if you have mid controls as well. Honestly they're probably the best money I’ve spent on the bike so far.
You can always look into the kits that move the stock boards out and forward slightly. Lots of people go this route.
This is not going to help you but since everyone else is letting you know how great the banana boards are … I guess I will too - hehehe. I used to have my feet up on the Lindby Bar most of time but the extra space I get from the boards is amazing and just leave them on boards.
Do you think I would have figment issues with the bananas and softbrake pedal
Not sure Drew. I don’t have the softbrake but I do have a brake lever from Performance Machine that is curved so that the pad sits lower. No issue there. Here’s a side shot so you can sort of compare since Banana boards use the same stock board mounts. (Don’t mind all the missing paint on the side. Not sure if they all do that but I ride curvy roads aggressively lol)
I am curious about these "banana" boards. Do they widen out at the front end? Is there enough room to stretch your right leg past the brake yet still be supported by the board? I don't want to spend $400 bucks on them but I also really don't want highway pegs either. I kinda like those shown above on Cygnusx51 post above. Where did you get those? Can you provide a photo from top showing the clearance around the brake pedal. I have an extended reach brake pedal so have some concerns with clearance and accessibility.
