I installed the 3/4" spacers from soos and made all the difference in the world. I wonder if I should have gone to the 1" spacers.

Has it made much difference in dragging with the 3/4 and 1" spacers? I've always wondered how much if any it would make.

I've had mine from soos for a couple months and they're great! First time I took it out for a long and winding road I tried to scrape and couldn't do it any more than usual so no worries there.

What did you use instead of the square spacer? The one in front of the kickstand? Do I need to drill out some 3/4 inch square stock?

What's involved with installation. Looked at mine on RG '07. I know there bolted somehow but mine looked solid - no obvious bolt?

There are 3 bolts underneath the frame and 2 more that go thru the jiffy stand bracket.

Haven't had a chance to road test them but just sitting in the garage they make a world of difference. I can actually use the full floorboard now. Lots more foot position options now. Quality product and fast to ship.

Check 'em out.
I've had them on my SG for six months, and I like them too. What I didn't like and you probably won't like is that the floorboards will scrape too easily, even on moderate turns. This is a factor of the extensions and the SG's lowered riding height. What I did was raise the floorboards a notch. I didn't notice the change in foot position after five minutes of riding, and have yet to scrape the floorboards since raising them. The kickstand scapes just as easily as before, but you can throw the bike around corners with an abandon I've never experienced on a FLH before.
