Default Speedometer non-functioning

Well there's been an issue crop up with my '03 FLTRI RG this afternoon on my way back from an all afternoon ride. We stopped to chat a few minutes before splitting up and after I jumped on the bike and headed off I looked down and noticed my speedo was dead. The odometer was blank too. A little bit further I noticed my voltmeter was sitting on "0". Kept watching it and it suddenly jumped up to 14+, then in a couple seconds it started falling back to zero. It did this intermittently all the way back home - 15-20 miles. Last couple turns I noticed my turn signals were non functioning. Is this likely a fuse gone bad or something more? A grounding problem? If ground, where the heck would I start looking? Thanks for your help.

Just reread your post and saw I missed the part about volt meter as well. Start by checking battery connections. Could be a loose connection.

The "Accessary" fuse popped. 15A. I believe my USB plug was cracked and I had just pulled it out while talking about it with a buddy. Ten minutes later is when I noticed the speedo not working. I believe it shorted out when pulling it out. All is good now

Strange set of symptoms for a failed accessory fuse, but you can't argue with a successful fix. There may be more strange stuff in the future.
