Default Front Brake light Switch Not Working

Just got back from my trip to Missouri from Ohio to see my Boy graduate Army Basic Training well anyways i have a 2008 Ultra Classic and i had my cruise control on and when i hit my front brake it didn’t deactivate my cruise. I pulled over to get gas a little later and had my wife see if brake lights worked when i pulled handle in and nothing. I hit foot brake and brake light works. I got home last night from trip and pulled switch housing apart thinking the shim behind switch was needing adjustment and that wasn’t it. I had a kit i ordered with all the switches in so I decided to just replace the brake switch thinking that this would fix it and it still didn’t fix problem.
It all was working fine before the trip but now even with new switch it wont light up brake light at all. Anybody have any ideals?

Problem Solved! I pulled fuse out of fuse box and cleaned up in there and reinstalled fuse and everything works. Weird how foot pedal worked fine but not hand brake. I’m not gonna dig too deep into thinking about it anymore since it’s fixed😅

Glad you got it fixed. But, about the not digging in... If one fuse was corroded there may well be more. Might be good preventative maintenance to check the rest. Might just keep something critical from failing on the road.

Your absolutely right. I am gonna go back out and go through them all and probably just replace every single one in there. I do a lot of miles so I definitely dont need any problems on the road
