Default Hairline crack in fuel tank

Have a friend who brought me his bike to work o and I discovered a very minute hairline break in the side of fuel tank. . Fuel seeps through very slowly. I considered welding but also am considering using Kreem liner kit. Has anybody used Kreem kit for this purpose. I would appreciate any suggestions as a new fuel tank is beyond his budget.

It's almost impossible to get Kreem to stick in a used tank. I fixed a crack in the bottom of a tank one time by rubbing a bar of Ivory soap against the crack.[something about the soap re-acting with the gasoline] Seriously, that thing held up for a year, until I got a replacement tank.

Just weld it. Leave the cap off the tank and anything else you can take off so it vents. Purge it with C02. Make sure it's very clean of any gas.

I've used product called Seal All for small leaks before on outside of tanks with success but don't think they recommend it for inside submersed. It is resistant to oil & gas.

I've cleaned an area up like that b4 and used JB Weld. Never had to do anything else again. Was on there when I sold the bike and that was 3 years later, no leak.

JB weld is good stuff I welded up the bottom of my Chevy pickup gas tank one time and it lasted over a hundred thousand miles. I don't know if it is still holding, because I sold the truck a few years ago.

Seal all no longer seems to work with today's gas. I think JB Weld is probably the best bet.
