Default Amazon bags - Who’s used them?

Upgraded to a 15’ SG 3 months ago and couldn’t be happier. I’m not typically a brand snob, but with my recent unplanned 75mph bag detachment I’m in a pickle. The bag was blown to smithereens so Im 50% naked on the sides. I did use the search and found out about the recall on the bag hardware for the 15’s. Too bad I didn’t know about this when I bought the bike from the dealer 3 months ago or i would have asked if the work was done. I may try to call them and plead mercy but I predict a big fat “NOT OUR PROBLEM” in my future..... so here we are..

does anyone have any experience with the stretched/extended bags from amazon prime sellers? They claim to be painted in vivid black. The only poor reviews I’ve read have been with the paint quality. If you purchased a set and would like to enlighten me on your experience I would appreciate it.... and now a picture for everyones enjoyment

.

Haven't used their bags but ordered a set of Advanblack lower fairings and they came in perfect off Amazon. Color matched great and the fit was right on for their lower fairings. Cheaper than OEM and more expensive than the other Amazon offerings but I think they were worth the money. I would expect their bags to be the same.

I also have not ordered bags from Amazon. Most of the time you can return Prime items if wrong/damaged/etc for free. If thats the case with the bags, I'd go for it. Worst that could happen, you don't like them and have to drive back to UPS or whoever to send the bags back.

Guy that works at a dealership just put the Amazon stretched bags on a RK over the winter. He is real happy with them. The paint looked good to me but they are on a grey bike so not sure of the match.

If you bought the bike from a dealer aren't they responsible for making sure all recall work is performed before reselling?

I recently purchased a vivid black set with lids for my 2015 RGS from Colton Customs on eBay. They look great and seem to be of good quality so far. I’d recommend them.
