Default Shocks

I have tried to search thru posts but haven't found anything....would switching for my 12 street glide air shocks to the newer coils on 18 bikes be an upgrade or waste of time? Thanks

I did exactly that on my 2010 ultra and it is a nice improvement. With the price of replacement shocks being what they are I gave it a shot for the 150.00 I paid for the 2017 premium shocks I’m pretty happy

That would be an improvement. If you can find 13” that would be better yet.

If you have short legs and like flat footing it at stops, there is not much choice but to stay with shorter shocks.
You can change the oil in your air shocks, that may or may not help ride quality.
You can get the newer adjustable 13 inch shock, and set the sag at 1 inch, or lower if you need to.
The high cost of premium ride shocks is high, but you get what you pay for, a premium priced ride.
