I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but the owners manual also states to ensure that the fob is not within 3.0 inches of a mobile phone or other electronic display/device.

Default Ok you sound like you might be able to help. I have a 2010 fxdb.

[QUOTE=skratch;18192415]I have a lot of confidence in the system. in 12 years, 7 hds, it has never failed me once. having said that, I do know how to change my pin, input the pin override, and place my system into transport mode.

tip: if you cant get your pin input to start the bike. take the fob out of your pocket and have someone hold it a good distance away from the bike. if you are having rf interference, it could be an intermittent signal. if you try to input your code, and in the middle of the input, the system recognizes your fob, it will mess up your code input and you'll have to start again

I have a new Energizer battery, I'm out in the woods do it can't be an interference problem. My security code is not working at all. The blinking lights will stop flashing but little red key is flashing and I can start it but it dies after 2 sec. Help me please

if the bike is starting, then it most likely isn't a security problem. the security will lock out the starter circuit from even activating.
