Default Oil in rear cyl pipe and on back of bags?

I have been watching my bike closely since I did the build to a 95 and today I put on about 250mls. One of the guys I was riding with told me that I was occasionally blowing some smoke out of the left pipe. I checked the oil level and I am good? The rear pipe is wet? and it appears that I have some spatter on the bags and rear of the bike.

Suggestions Please....

It is coming out of your breathers off the top of the heads into the air filter then all over your bike! I had all sorts of trouble with mine and I end up just putting a little less oil in (just under the full) and I have not had the problem since!

You will have to do a leak down test on the rear cylinder it has to be either rings or valve seals. If the pipe is wet and oil is on the bag with only 250 miles on the build it has to be something on the recent build that is not correct. Sorry

Is the pipe wet on inside or out side?
If inside bad rings (upside down, wrong stagger, broke, etc)
bad valve guide / seal or bad cylinder
Need compression and leakdown test

If outside, look and see where oil is coming from

I'm with Moe and Choochoo on this one. If the oil is showing up on the inside of only your left exhaust pipe, then you probably have a bad stagger on the rings of the rear cylinder. Generally, when you set up new rings on new pistons, you should check the end gap (distance between the two ends of the ring after they are sealed in the cylinder) and ensure that they are staggered approximately 120 degrees from one ring to the next.

Son Nice Boxer(boxers?)! Check out my pics...

Moe I have about 4000 on the build and 250 on the ride when the oil showed up... Should have said that in the beginning!

ChooChoo it is wet inside.

I will do a leak down and post the findings.. I hope it is only a seal!

Thanks everyone for the input!
