i'm going to do the temp gauge (hd) install...searched the other threads but didn't see anything on the adapter kit (part 26133-07) hd says you need for the 07's. does anyone know what this kit is? i'm planning on connecting the sending unit at the oil pan. thanks.

Default RE: oil temp gauge install

I'm also interested in installing this gauge on my 07 Street Glide in place of (IMHO) totally worthless air temp gauge. Thing I've heard and am concerned about is "Not compatible with Chrome Instrument Gauge Bezel P/N 74550-92T.", which I believe 06 and 07 SG come with. Can anyone comment on how to get oil temp gauge that matches both gauges and(chrome) bezels on 06/07 Street Glides?

I'm sure you know this by now, but if you're going to install the sender in the oil pan you don't need the adapter..which is good if you ask me..

yeah, don't need it; don't have to spend the money for it; and the mod will be easier to boot. can't beat that.

Mine is a perfect match. Ignore the warning about the chrome bezels, as that is a bling part made for FLHT's that have no bezel ring. The SG has these with the stock gauges and is integral to the 75324-07 gauge kit, so the oil-temp gauge should match your other gauges exactly.

If you have the 26155-05 Premium Oil Cooler it can fit into one of those hoses with a tee provided in the kit. I installed mine in the oil pan with a 3/8MNPT-1/8FNPT adapter purchased from Napa. There's plenty of documentation on this procedure in this forum, as you've probably already noticed.

I have the Wally world gauge with the sender in the oil pan. It works well and the chrome bezel fits just fine.

I had the stealer do the install at pickup, it looks like the same adapter used with the oil cooler. one line for the guage and the other is plugged.

I don't think that adaptor has a thermostat like the oil cooler version, even though they look the same...mine reads below the 180 degree opening of the oil cooler adaptor...
