On my last bagger, I had MCC redo the seat. It was much better than stock, but I wanted supreme comfort this time....

Been looking at Corbins, Russell Day Long, and a few others...

I was resigned to the fact that these premium seats were going to cost me close to (if not a little over) $1K...... I didn't want to be hasty and wanted to buy once, cry once..

My OEM seat was an OEM "low" seat someone threw on the used '16 ultra classic I bought.... It was horrible!

For the interim, while I researched and debated (with myself) Ad Nauseam about the best seat, I bought a used Sundowner for like $180...

This Sundowner caught me off guard. It is surprisingly comfortable.... The wife liked it much better than the Harley Hammock we tested at a dealership. I'm not as much in a hurry to buy a $1K seat while I have this one.....

FYI...
They make two Sundowner Seats for touring bikes:

#52093-08A for '08-'13 Touring- has 16" width and 14" passenger pillion.

#52000128 for '14-later Touring- has 14.5" width and 13" passenger pillion.

Even though I have a 2016 Ultra Classic, I bought the wider Sundowner seat for '08-'13 Touring. It fits my bike with no issues and because it's wider, I believe it gives better support...

I found the sundowner to be way too soft and it hurt as bad as the stock seat to me on the 2006 Ultra.

That's a HD hammock in my sig pic. I've done 800 mile days with it with little to no discomfort.

I have tried several seats. On my old Ultra I tried a Mustang but it would cause my hand to go numb. So sold that off and picked up a Tallboy for Harley and it solved the trick. Rode on the seat till I traded up bikes. Then it was back to the option list. I went with a LePera Maverick Daddy Long Leg and after I broke it in it has been great.

Almost all seats require a break in period. Also you might have to go thru one or two depending on how you ride. If you only ride bar to bar then you might notice it being an issue. When the Mustang caused my hand to go number it was after about 60+ miles and it would start off in my pinky. Good luck on finding a good seat.
