I recently purchased a 2012 road glide ultra used. I liked the engine upgrades and the general look of the bike but I'm not a big fan of the tour pack look. I already purchased a quick detach kit for the tour pack but the plate mount is on the tour pack bar. I am having trouble finding a plate relocation kit that "fits" my bike. I hate that harley chose a different tail light/turn signal setup for the ultra models. My '04 road glide had the plate bar removed and the plate relocated to below the turn signal bar. The '12 has the same tail light/signal bar setup but on a wider rear fender. Does anyone know of any solutions to get a similar look?

 

you should feel happy, on the newer bikes I believe (?) all the taillights etc are built into the tourpak so you cannot remove it.

 

Yes on older bikes it's cheaper to detach the tour pack. although it is possible. Harley sells a kit

You can buy just the license plate frame from HD, it mounts behind the tail light but it puts your license plate above the light. Its about your only option and its like $90 F-in bucks. I had to buy one for my 12 when I did the quick detach and looked on Ebay but couldn't find a similar one. About a month later I found a guy on there that was selling a bunch of parts and had one for like $20, I was shitty I didn't come across that earlier.
